Parent Support Video Calls
Research continually shows the value in prioritizing a child's most important communication partners, their caregivers. This 30-minute call provides you the opportunity to speak with an SLP about your observations and questions regarding your child's communicative development and receive relevant insights, recommendations and/or resources. Calls may be scheduled one time or on an ongoing basis. This is a wonderful option for:
-
families processing a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of autism who'd like strengths, based neurodiversity-affirming recommendations and resources.
-
families or professionals looking to learn more about DIR-Floortime.
-
families who obtained an AAC device and would like support setting their child up for success with the new device throughout their daily routines.
-
families or professionals looking to learn more about gestalt language processing.
-
children receiving school-based speech whose parents want guidance on supporting communication at home.
-
and more!

Remote AAC Evaluation & Funding Application
During our first call, I'll learn a bit about your child's communication and set you up to begin trialing AAC at home. This typically involves downloading a free trial of an AAC app on your iPad that day or, if you do not have access to an iPad, providing the needed information for me to apply to mail you a free loaner device. Once your trial device is setup, I will provide you with neurodiversity-affirming resources on modeling multi-modal communication throughout your daily routines at home. I will be available by text the next couple weeks while your child becomes familiar with the device. When you're done trialing, we'll meet for a second video call to gather the information needed for me to submit a funding application for total coverage of a communication device by your private insurance and/or grants. Available for anyone in CA. We almost always obtain total coverage from your insurance and/or grants and receive the device within about 3 months. While we generally have 1 call to get you set up, 1 call to review how trialing the device went and 1 to discuss implementation when the device comes, we can tailor the process to your specific needs. Dear Ms. Jasmine, as a family, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you’ve done for our son over the past three and a half years. Your guidance, patience, and unwavering dedication have had such a profound impact on him and on us as a family. It’s been a joy to watch him grow and thrive under your care, and we will always treasure the bond you’ve built with him. Although we miss seeing you as his therapist, we’re so glad you are still involved in his journey. Knowing you’re still part of his team gives us so much reassurance. You’ve been such a special part of his life and we’re endlessly grateful for you.
Thank you for being such a transformational and meaningful part of our boy's childhood. From his early non-speaking days to the thriving straight "A" student he is now, your guidance made an incredible difference. We’ll always be grateful for you.
Ms. Jasmine, you are such a wonderful and beautiful person and we are so thankful for you. You have helped so much since the very beginning. We are truly so lucky to have such an amazing speech therapist for our son. He always gets so excited to play with you. We see how much he has grown with his vocabulary and it’s such a beautiful sight. They were not wrong when they said it takes a village to raise a child. Thank you for being part of our village.
